Idaho S1450 extends the Child Tax Credit indefinitely for Idaho residents.

Idaho S1450 amends existing law to extend the Child Tax Credit indefinitely for Idaho residents. The bill revises Section 63-3029L of the Idaho Code, which previously allowed the credit for taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2018, and before January 1, 2026. The credit is a nonrefundable amount of $205 for each qualifying child, defined as per the Internal Revenue Code. The bill also includes provisions for divorced or unmarried parents regarding the custodial parent's claim of the credit. The changes apply retroactively to January 1, 2026.
