Introduced Text

Idaho S1413 extends the maximum term for commercial leases on endowment lands from 20 to 49 years.

Idaho S1413 amends existing law to extend the maximum term for commercial leases on endowment lands from 20 to 49 years. This change applies to leases for commercial purposes, such as fuel cells, low impact hydro, wind, geothermal resources, biomass, cogeneration, sun, or landfill gas. The bill also requires the state land board to consult with county commissioners before leasing lands for more than 20 years and ensures the lease use aligns with local planning and zoning ordinances.
