Idaho S1394 amends existing law to revise provisions regarding supervised visitation in child custody cases.

Idaho S1394 amends Section 32-717E of the Idaho Code to revise provisions regarding supervised visitation in child custody cases. The bill specifies that supervised visitation cannot be used as a punitive measure or leverage and applies only to custody and parenting time determinations between parents. It mandates that supervised access providers undergo a fingerprint-based criminal history check, including a statewide criminal identification bureau check, federal bureau of investigation criminal history check, child abuse registry check, adult protection registry check, and statewide sex.
