Idaho S1379 amends existing law to revise the Project Choice program fee. The fee will be used to create career ladders for commissioned officers, dispatch personnel, and forensic personnel within the Idaho state police, and to provide salaries to encourage the hiring and retention of trained and qualified employees. The fee will be collected in addition to each registration fee assessed and deposited to the Idaho law enforcement fund. The changes apply to registrations for calendar year 2007 and thereafter.
