Introduced Text

Idaho S1377 allows certain governmental entities to publish abbreviated public notices in newspapers.

Idaho S1377 amends existing law to allow counties, cities, and school district boards to publish abbreviated public notices in newspapers instead of full notices. These abbreviated notices must include the governmental entity's name, a description of the notice's contents, the date and location of any related events, and a link or QR code to the full notice online. The law also mandates that the full notice be published on the Idaho Newspaper Association's website. This act will take effect on September 1, 2026.
