Idaho S1343 amends existing law to specify that certain judges are not eligible to serve as senior judges and cannot elect to receive certain retirement compensation. The bill applies to judges who first assumed office on or after July 1, 2012. It also requires candidates for supreme court justice, judge of the court of appeals, or district judge to acknowledge in writing their awareness of these provisions. The changes are effective July 1, 2026.
