Idaho S1327 amends the Idaho Code to allow political parties to add additional qualifications for precinct committeemen, provided they do not conflict with existing provisions. The bill modifies Section 34-624 to include this change. The current qualifications for precinct committeemen include being at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, and a registered elector for six months before the election. The bill declares an emergency and states the act will be in full force and effect from July 1, 2026.
