Introduced·2/16/26
Introduced Text

Idaho S1315 mandates hospitals to disclose maternity care prices and prevent contracts from blocking discounted cash prices.

Idaho S1315 amends existing law to establish maternity price transparency and disclosure requirements. Hospitals must ensure their consumer-friendly price estimator portal displays a comprehensive quote for maternity care, accessible from a single dedicated page. The quote must include an all-inclusive price or itemized list, common additional charges, and a mandatory disclosure statement. Hospitals are prohibited from entering into contracts that prevent them from offering discounted cash prices below other contracted rates.
