Idaho S1299 establishes limitations on the use of digital identification by public entities.

Idaho S1299 amends the Idaho Code to add a new section establishing limitations on digital identification. Public entities are prohibited from requiring individuals to obtain, maintain, present, or use digital identification. They also cannot deny, delay, condition, or reduce services, benefits, licenses, employment, education, or access based on refusal or inability to use digital identification. Physical, non-digital identification remains valid for all governmental purposes.
