Idaho S1295 amends existing law to revise provisions regarding resistance by a threatened party.

Idaho S1295 amends Section 19-202 of the Idaho Code to revise provisions regarding resistance by a threatened party. It allows for the defensive display or declaration of a firearm when a reasonable person would believe physical force is necessary to protect against unlawful physical force, including deadly force. The law does not require a defensive display or declaration of a firearm before the use of physical force or deadly physical force.
