Idaho S1292 amends existing law to enhance training for foster parents. The bill requires applicants to complete training on the reasonable and prudent parent standard, orientation to foster care programs, understanding the impact of trauma on children, behavior management, working with birth parents, court processes, and the physical safety of children in foster care. The training must not exceed ten hours in total, with a check on learning to ensure understanding.
