Idaho S1258 amends existing law to authorize liquor licensure for a distillery in certain instances. The bill exempts officers, agents, and employees of a distillery from being disqualified from holding a liquor license. It also allows distilleries to sell liquor from brands explicitly owned by the distillery. The provisions of this bill apply to licenses issued under specific sections of Idaho Code, including sections 23-903, 23-910, 23-912, and 23-944. The bill declares an emergency and provides an effective date of July 1, 2026.
