Idaho S1252 limits annual maintenance budget increases for state entities to the average consumer price index increase.

Idaho S1252, known as the Restraint of Government Uncontrolled Expansion (ROGUE) Act, adds a new section to the Idaho Code to limit annual maintenance budget increases for state entities. The annual increase in maintenance budgets cannot exceed the average percentage increase in the consumer price index for all urban consumers for the west region as determined by the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics for the twelve months preceding the budget request submission.
