Idaho S1250 amends existing law to exempt certain decedent photos from disclosure. These photos, taken as part of a coroner death investigation or law enforcement investigation, are exempt regardless of whether the investigation is active or not. However, the confidentiality of these photos may be disclosed upon request to a decedent's next of kin once the coroner death investigation, law enforcement investigation, and criminal case, including all appeals and all civil proceedings related to the criminal case, are no longer active.
