Idaho H0896 establishes procedures for enforcing compliance with state laws by public officers, employees, and entities.

Idaho H0896 amends Idaho Code to create a new chapter establishing procedures for enforcing compliance with state laws by public officers, employees, and entities. The bill allows the attorney general to file actions to enforce compliance, disqualify public officers or employees from office or employment for willful violations, and seek attorney's fees for prevailing parties. Public officers, employees, and entities must respond to notices of alleged violations within 14 days, either acknowledging and curing the violation or denying it.
