Idaho H0879 amends existing law to allow the sale of hemp products intended for human ingestion or inhalation.

Idaho H0879 amends existing law to authorize the sale of hemp products intended for human ingestion or inhalation, excluding nonviable hulled hemp seed, hemp seed protein powder, or hemp seed oil. The bill also mandates that the Idaho Department of Agriculture must promulgate rules compliant with the 2018 farm bill to allow for the production, processing, transportation, and research of industrial hemp starting with the spring 2022 growing season.
