Amends Idaho law to allow the Department of Commerce to use tax revenue for funding state institutions of higher education.

This bill amends existing Idaho law to authorize the Department of Commerce to use certain tax revenue to fund state institutions of higher education. The bill specifies that fifty percent of the funds, less administrative costs, will be returned to local nonprofit organizations for promoting travel and conventions within a planning region. The remaining funds will be used for statewide travel and convention programs and to fund state institutions of higher education to promote economic development.
