Idaho H0853 amends existing law to establish provisions regarding the transfer of control of certain hospitals. The bill clarifies that the transfer of hospital district assets to nonprofit corporations must be conditioned on continued nonprofit operation for the benefit of the community. It mandates that any transfer of control must be approved by the attorney general and requires public notice and a public hearing before such transfers can take effect.
