Introduced Text

Idaho H0794 prohibits excused absences for political protests, volunteering for protest groups, and student walkouts in public schools.

Idaho H0794 amends existing law to prohibit excused absences in public schools for participating in political protests, working or volunteering for groups known to engage in political protests, or participating in student walkouts. These absences will be considered unexcused and will count against the school district's average daily attendance. School districts must report the total number of such absences annually to the Idaho superintendent of public instruction, who will then submit an annual report to the legislature.
