Idaho H0785 establishes disciplinary measures for students engaging in inappropriate online behavior.

Idaho H0785 amends the Idaho Code to establish disciplinary measures for students engaging in inappropriate online behavior. This includes any online communication that harasses, threatens, or bullies public school employees or other persons. The school district board of trustees or the public charter school governing board must investigate such reports and impose disciplinary measures, which may include warnings, participation in an online behavior awareness program, temporary suspension, or expulsion. The school must notify parents or legal guardians and, if appropriate, law enforcement.
