Idaho H0784 amends the Idaho Code to require public schools to offer daily outdoor recess for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. This recess period must last at least 20 minutes, weather permitting, or be conducted indoors if necessary. The bill also encourages schools to provide unstructured activity breaks for students in grades six through eight. The changes are set to take effect on July 1, 2026.
