Idaho H0772 amends existing law to define negligent violations for industrial hemp production.

Idaho H0772 amends existing law to establish when negligent violations occur for industrial hemp production. It specifies that hemp producers do not commit a negligent violation if the hemp is produced for grain or fiber, the producer made reasonable efforts to grow within acceptable THC levels, and the hemp does not exceed a 1% THC concentration on a dry weight basis. The bill also declares an emergency and sets an effective date of July 1, 2026.
