Amends existing law to allow development impact fees to be used for certain costs associated with certain fire apparatus replacement.

Chamber Passed·3/9/26
Introduced Text

Allows development impact fees to fund certain fire apparatus replacement costs in Idaho.

This bill amends existing law to allow development impact fees to be used for certain costs associated with fire apparatus replacement in Idaho. Development impact fees are payments imposed as a condition of development approval to pay for a proportionate share of system improvements needed to serve new growth. The bill specifies that these fees can now be used for fire apparatus replacement if identified in the capital improvements plan, attributable to the impacts of growth, and no more than 50% of the total cost is funded with development impact fees.
