Idaho H0747 amends existing law to revise provisions regarding abatement districts and optional participation.

Idaho H0747 amends existing law to revise provisions regarding abatement districts and optional participation. The bill allows county boards of commissioners to impose an annual property tax assessment for the term of a disaster or emergency to recover expenses. It also authorizes abatement districts to use aerial adulticide abatement methods only during a declared health emergency. Property owners can request exemption from abatement activities, and districts must publish notice of abatement activities. The bill declares an emergency, making it effective upon passage and approval.
