H0735

Idaho H0735 mandates disclosures for individuals engaged in paid in-person canvassing activities.

Idaho H0735 amends existing law to require individuals engaged in paid in-person canvassing activities to disclose their status and the entity paying them. These activities include soliciting residences, public locations, and other direct interactions to influence voting. Exemptions apply to volunteers and those whose canvassing is incidental to their broader campaign roles. The Idaho Secretary of State must establish a system to receive and investigate complaints about violations. Penalties include fines and imprisonment.
