Idaho H0720 amends Section 50-707A of the Idaho Code to allow cities with 25,000 or fewer residents to establish council districts for electing council members. Cities with more than 25,000 residents must also establish districts for council elections. Districts must be established based on the most recent federal census and must contain roughly equal populations. The governing body of the city must establish the districts at least 120 days before the next general election.
