Idaho H0706 amends the Idaho Building Code Act to allow local governments to permit residential group R-2 apartment buildings to be served by one interior exit stairway under specific conditions. These conditions include limiting the building to no more than six stories without an occupiable roof or five stories with an occupiable roof and one basement level. The building must also have no more than four dwelling units per floor, with a maximum gross floor area of 6,000 square feet per story, and be of type I, II, III, IV, or V construction.
