H0700

Adds to existing law to establish provisions prohibiting the unlawful employment of unauthorized aliens.

Chamber Passed·2/27/26
Introduced Text

Idaho H0700 prohibits the unlawful employment of unauthorized aliens in Idaho.

Idaho H0700 amends state law to establish provisions prohibiting the unlawful employment of unauthorized aliens. It makes it unlawful for employers, agents, recruiters, and labor organization representatives to knowingly employ, continue to employ, rehire, recruit, or refer for employment any alien who is not lawfully present in the United States or whose immigration status does not authorize employment under federal law. Compliance with the federal E-Verify program constitutes an affirmative defense to prosecution.
