Idaho H0656 establishes provisions for collecting aggregated student data on immigration status and nationality in Idaho public educational.

Idaho H0656 amends existing law to mandate the collection of aggregated data on the immigration status, nationality, and primary language of students enrolled in Idaho public educational institutions. The data will be collected by the Idaho state board of education from public institutions of higher education, charter schools, and school districts. This data will be used for analysis purposes only and will not be used to discriminate against any student. The data collection is subject to data protection and privacy requirements.
