Idaho H0634 amends existing law to ensure that funds distributed by the state Department of Education for specific purposes cannot be used for other purposes. If misused, school districts or public charter schools must reimburse the state and deposit the funds into the state general fund. If reimbursement is not made, an equivalent amount will be deducted from the state's next payment to the school district or public charter school. This act declares an emergency and will be in full force and effect from July 1, 2026.
