Idaho H0616 allows certified interior designers to sign and seal technical submissions for interior design projects.

Idaho H0616 amends existing law to allow certified interior designers to sign and seal technical submissions for interior design projects, similar to architects. Certified interior designers can submit these signed and sealed submissions to state or local governmental entities for building permits. The bill specifies that certified interior designers cannot engage in certain activities, such as structural modifications or changes to building use. Certified interior designers must also provide proof of professional liability insurance coverage when submitting technical submissions.
