Idaho H0604 amends sexual offender registration law to revise psychosexual evaluation requirements and payment provisions.

Idaho H0604 amends existing law to require convicted offenders to undergo a psychosexual evaluation at their own expense, with the court selecting the evaluator from a roster compiled by the sexual offender management board. Failure to provide the evaluation may be considered an aggravating circumstance. The offender must pay for the evaluation unless they demonstrate indigency, in which case the county pays and requires repayment as a condition of sentence. If a governmental entity funds the evaluation, the defendant must repay the entity.
