Idaho H0576 amends the Idaho Consumer Asset Recovery Fund to require residency for eligibility.

Idaho H0576 amends the Idaho Consumer Asset Recovery Fund to establish a residency requirement for eligibility. Under the bill, only Idaho residents or those who were Idaho residents at the time of the purchase or lease of a motor vehicle can receive funds from the fund. This applies to claims filed for actual loss or damage due to fraud or violations by a dealer. The changes take effect on July 1, 2026.
