Idaho H0571 amends existing law to classify disturbing religious worship, meetings, or events as a misdemeanor.

Idaho H0571 amends Section 18-6409 of the Idaho Code to classify as a misdemeanor the act of disturbing religious worship, meetings, or events. This includes actions such as profane discourse, rude or indecent behavior, unnecessary noise, or any conduct that obstructs or interferes with the event. The amendment also applies to disturbing the dignity or reverential nature of funerals or memorial services. The law declares an emergency and will be in full force and effect starting July 1, 2026.
