Amends licensure requirements for licensed professional counselors and licensed clinical professional counselors.
Amends existing law to provide for the licensure of certain persons who have served as a chaplain in any branch of the United States military. The bill exempts these individuals from taking an examination or paying an application fee. It also modifies the qualifications for licensure as a licensed professional counselor and a licensed clinical professional counselor to include those who have served as a chaplain in the military. The changes declare an emergency and will be in effect from July 1, 2026.
