Idaho H0541 amends the law to revise the definition and penalties for enticing a child through the internet or communication devices.

Idaho H0541 amends Section 18-1509A of the Idaho Code to redefine the offense of enticing a child through the internet or other communication devices. The bill specifies that a person aged 18 or older is guilty of a felony if they knowingly use such devices to solicit, seduce, or entice a child under 16 years old, or a person they believe to be under 16. The offense also applies if the perpetrator is at least five years older than a person aged 16 or 17.
