Idaho H0500 amends existing law to revise provisions regarding the exercise of due care for human-powered vehicles, bicycles, and electric-assisted bicycles. It specifies that these vehicles must not carry more persons than they are designed for and allows adult riders to carry children securely. The bill also mandates that operators or riders of these vehicles must exercise due care and have the same rights and duties as drivers of other vehicles. The amendments declare an emergency and take effect on July 1, 2026.
