Introduced Text

Idaho H0489 prohibits wearing masks or disguises during criminal offenses and mandates sentencing enhancements.

Idaho H0489 adds a new section to Idaho Code to prohibit the use of masks, hoods, or devices that conceal the face during the commission of a criminal offense. Violators face enhanced penalties, including fines up to $2,500, imprisonment up to one year, or both. This enhancement applies in addition to any sentence for the underlying offense. The law does not preclude prosecution under other applicable laws.
