Bans the manufacture, sale, offer for sale, distribution for sale, and distribution for use of any food packaging, food service ware, cosmetic, or personal care product that contains intentionally added perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). This prohibition takes effect on January 1, 2028. Exceptions include hydrofluoroolefins used as propellants in cosmetics, products regulated as drugs, medical devices, or dietary supplements by the FDA, and combination product cosmetic products. The bill also repeals a previous prohibition on certain food packaging items.
