Allows county directors of finance to waive certain fees for abandoned vehicles in Hawaii.

This bill amends Hawaii law to allow the director of finance of each county to waive payment of any outstanding tow, storage, or other charge, fee, or fine owed to the county for an abandoned vehicle. The waiver can be granted for a period not exceeding one year after the charge becomes due and payable. This waiver does not apply to fees incurred for a vehicle deemed to be a derelict vehicle. The purpose of this Act is to assist individuals facing financial hardship by allowing them to avoid certain fees associated with abandoned vehicles.
