Hawaii SB414 appropriates $500,000 from the general revenues and the dwelling unit revolving fund for fiscal year 2025-2026. The funds will be used for appraisals and preparations to institute condemnation proceedings for a new access road from Keawe Street to the Kilohana and Kalaiola housing sites. These sites, developed after the 2023 Maui wildfire, currently lack a direct road connection. The Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation will oversee the condemnation of necessary portions of parcels owned by Keawe Street Investment, LLC, and West Maui Venture Group.
