Hawaii SB37 amends state law to mandate that public and private schools serving students in grades six through twelve include specific mental health resources on student identification cards starting with the 2025-2026 school year. The required information includes the national 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, the Crisis Text Line, and state or local mental health program numbers. Schools with existing supplies of non-compliant ID cards may use them until depleted. Violations of this requirement are subject to a civil penalty of up to $100 per offense.
