The working group is tasked with accounting for all ceded lands in the public land trust inventory, assessing income and proceeds from the public land trust, and determining the 20% pro rata share of income and proceeds due annually to the Office of Hawaiian Affairs for the betterment of Native Hawaiians. The group must submit four reports to the legislature, including a final report with proposed legislation by October 1, 2028.
