The bill establishes the Hawaii Small Business Innovation Research Matching Program within the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation. This program provides matching grants to Hawaii-based companies that have received federal Small Business Innovation Research or Small Business Technology Transfer program awards. Companies must submit applications to the corporation within 90 days of receiving a federal award notice. The corporation will match 50% of the federal award amount.
