The bill establishes a five-year pilot program to provide assistance and services for families and children involved, or at risk of involvement or reinvolvement, with child welfare services. The program will include financial assistance and a trauma-informed intervention to improve caregiver-child relationships and parenting skills. The Department of Human Services will collaborate with the Office of Wellness and Resilience to design, implement, and administer the pilot program. The program will cease to exist on July 1, 2031.
