Hawaii SB3262 amends Section 302A-801 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes to revise the appointment process for the executive director of the board of education. The board of education must now select the executive director from a list of three nominees submitted by the board. If the senate does not confirm the nominee, the board of education must submit another nominee for approval. The board may terminate the executive director's contract for cause, subject to approval by the board of education.
