SB2870 amends the Hawaii State Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Plus Commission by changing its membership and voting structure. The commission will now consist of six ex officio, nonvoting members and eleven appointed members, including one from each of the counties of Hawaii, Kauai, and Maui, four from Honolulu, one from the Hawaii sexual and gender minority workgroup, and one under the age of twenty-nine. Two additional voting members will be appointed by the speaker of the house and the senate president.
