Hawaii SB261 amends Section 612-8 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes to increase juror pay from $30 to $50 per day. It also increases the mileage reimbursement to the higher of 33 cents per mile or the cost of an adult bus fare. The bill appropriates $684,385 for fiscal years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 to cover these changes. The new provisions take effect on July 1, 2025.
