Hawaii SB244 amends Chapter 188 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes by adding a new section that prohibits commercial sale of parrotfish caught by spearing and spearing of parrotfish in state waters after sunset or before sunrise. This law does not affect any rights, duties, penalties, or proceedings that occurred before its effective date of July 1, 2025.
