Hawaii SB231 amends the Hawaii Revised Statutes to regulate agricultural tourism activities on working farms. It sets forth requirements for accessory and secondary agricultural uses, including access to farms, days and hours of operation, and automatic termination upon cessation of farming operations. Counties are authorized to allow lot sizes of less than the minimum specified by law under certain conditions. Each county may require an environmental assessment and may allow other uses by special permits.
